Losing 40 pounds in about 10 weeks (summer)?

So every summer i have tried to lose some weight, i am not extremaly overweight for my age (15 almost 16) but i am not necessarily where i want to be.. I am currently 170 pounds, i want to loose 40 then most likley gain some back by working out, gaining more muscle. I basically have no help from my parents because they are always working, and i need a good reliable diet/excersise plan that i can follow.

I'm quite a bit older than you, but I tried several different plans when I wanted to lose weight and get stronger.



My favorite was one from Tom Venuto called Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle.  He's a very inspiring guy, and has a great workout and diet plan.



Another good one is Body for Life.  Again very inspiring program.



Last one I used was called Fat Loss 4 Idiots.  This one is more about losing weight than increasing fitness.  



All of these promote healthy weight loss through proper eating habits, and exercise.

I would suggest a cleansing diet. I lost 12 pounds in 9 days and then 28 pounds in less than a month.
