I burnt myself at work??

I burnt myself at work??

ok so wednesday i was at work and i burnt myself really bad on a steamer. it obviously hurt but i started to get little blisters on the really bad part. i didnt think much of it cuz it was a bad burn. but yesterday i noticed an even bigger blister appear and it keeps getting bigger. i know your not supposed to pop it or am i? today its about the size of  a nickle and it is popped up high too. today at work everyone told me to pop it with a needle or a pin under warm water but idk if i should....help please! oh yeah and since i got it i have been putting nesporin on it and covering it with a band aid. i dont know what to do.

If you pop it or stick it with a pin then the raw or burnt layer under will be exposed. That hurts VERY badly, it stings then.

I would either put on neosporin or see a dr. as they can give you silvadene cream that makes the  burn go away . It can be applied to a burn for up to 2 weeks after that happens as I had a  bad  burn on my leg from a motorcycle and the dr. put that on and it is GONE. It really works to remove a burn then.

dont whatever you do pop it. i used to work in an industrial kitchen and bunt myself pretty much every day and have loads of scars from burns. just leave it be, the blister is your bodys own natural healing system, just take care aroun d the blister and try to makesure it doesnt burst. also keep it away from heat as it will hurt like hell. just give it time and it shoudl go down. sunno how big a nickle is being from the uk but ifts a coin thats tiy. ive have huge ones on my arms and the scars are now nearly gont after 4 years. it'll be fine.

dont pop it. the blister is there to keep germs out. try putting polysporin on 2-3 times daily and put a bandaid on top. i find that this increased the healing and decreased the pain of the burn.

Go ahead and pop it so it can start the healing process.  I recently had a blistered burn from steaming vegetables.  Keep in mind that burns just take a while to heal.  You'll probably have a scar.

The bubble is your bodies way of protecting the burned area.

Leave it alone.
