Heeeelp bad sunburn ... raw area now?

Heeeelp bad sunburn ... raw area now?

ok so like two weeks ago i got a really bad sunburn but it was way worse on myinner chest area. it blistered up. i just let the blisters go away on their own. all of the rest of my sunburn has faded away to tan now but the area on my chest is still bright red and its really raw. its peeled a couple of times but skin keeps coming back and peeling again. its just redredred. it hurts a litle but not too much anymore. do i have to go to a doctor for this? or is this normal with a bad sunburn?

AW you poor thing. You got a bad burn! You might need a doctor, especially if you're bleeding or oozing.

I've gotten my fair share of horrible sunburns. Two weeks is a long time to still be dealing with side effects though! If you're in pain, bleeding or oozing, call a DR. Otherwise, keep your skin lotioned. Drink lots of water. Take a pain reliever that helps with swelling. A & D ointment is GREAT at healing broken skin.

The main thing here is to stay hydrated and DONT PICK!!! You'll just make more of a mess.

Good luck and feel better!

The same thing happened to me not too long a go...i mean the exact same thing. Personally i wouldn't suggest a doctor mine went away about two weeks later and then i was back in the sun. If you go into the sun be sure to put a high SPF sunscreen on it until the redness goes away. But after my redness went away I went back to the lake and just got real real tan and the area in between my chest evened out too. Don't worry you'll be fine...no need for a doctor

its bad.

but when i was little i got one.

just stat out of the sun.

have you  ever had another sunburn that bad in the area?

or a mole turn black in the area?

those are skin cancer signs.

but if there are no black moles and its the first or second time it happened you should be fine.

just try puttiong ALOE VERA on it.

it woeks like magic to get rid of the burn.

Something I find is effective is Mustard. It has powerful healing properties, similar to honey in some respects, it helps with nasal congestion, dermatitis, and luckily for you, sunburn! Apply mustard generously for 3-4 days and if it doesn't heal up, get yourself to the doctor.

Im not really sure...I had a bad sunburn last year!!Like 2nd Degree...It blistered and peeled then heeled...So im not sure!!!But next time you get a bad sun burn when you get home-get a cotton ball and vinegar and rub it on bout twice a day espically before you go to bed!?! It turns my burns into a tan and ive done that ever since!!!Hope I helped in the future!?!?Hope it gets better!?!?BYe!!

You got a worse burn where it's still red. It's destroyed more layers of skin and you just have to wait until all the damaged tissue gets flaked away.  Use an aloe to sooth the area which will also moisturize the area as well which should help.

Ouch... sounds painful I would start by putting some aloe vera jell... It is usually best for sun burns.. I would store you a bottle of the jell in the refrigerator so when you do get burnt it feels soothing when you put it on... Hopefully this works for you its a good start. Then if problem proceeds then I would get seen.. You may have gotten sun poisoning...

My cousin got sunburnt in the tanning bed one time and was blistered. She took brown paper bags and soaked them in vinegar and laid them on the burn and it healed it really quick. I would try that or aloe before I went to the doc.
