so i slept with this chick i was in it for a little bit without protection, if that matters. The next day she told me that she has herpes she don't know what type but it won't go away? It wasn't "active" when we did it so does that matter too? It's been like 2-3 weeks since we did it and I haven't noticed anything. I have gotten the std test before so I am just trying to put it off cause it hurts getting it done. But if I do have it shouldn't it of shown up by now? I know I need to go get checked but its not that easy.

if she had an outbreak at the time you had sex then that increases your chances of getting herpes. if there was no outbreak then there is still a SMALL chance of gettting herpes from her. if it wasn't active but she was having outbreak symptoms then there is also a chance that you could get herpes.

ask the doctor to test u for herpes and the regular std test. herpes is not always included in the std test.

well at least she told u so u aren't wondering how u got herpes, if u do have herpes. herpes can take about a month or years because it can stay dormant for a long time. some times it can take a only a couple of days to develope symptoms. if u have a strong immune system then u could be a carrier i suppose u would get little to no outbreaks or symptoms.

This girl should have told you before you slept with her.....it is true that your risk is minimal when the herpes is inactive, but nonetheless you should be using condoms as this disease is very serious and contagious!!!

Dude, go see a doctor and just get the test done.  No wonder why this chic has herpes, she let you hit it raw..... beware of other STD's and go to the doctor.  And seriously dont have sex with chics without condoms.  You should have slapped her, how the hell can someone tell you after the fact.... she is retarded and thats why she has frigging herpes.  Im pissed at you and for you..... but seriously I hope you go to the doctors and they say you dont having anything and you can just say lesson learned.... but go because you dont want to infect anybody else if you do have anything...
