My Girlfriend has vaginal warts please help me. They're swollen and inflamed..... what do i do????

Vaginal warts is a sexually transmitted disease caused by the human papilloma virus. It is very contagious by sexual contact. It's not easy to get rid of. Mostly treatment consists of cryotherapy (freezing) directly on the warts. Also used is an acid called gentian violet on the lesions. Neither treatment is fun and can be done by a physician in their office. HPV has been found to cause certain kinds of cervical cancer in women. So, a Dr. visit is essential.

1 avoid any sexual contact

2 take her to the er now

3 if you have had sex with her, get tested now

4 Has she previously been diagnosed with vaginal warts, or are you branching out into amateur gynecological exams?

This is not like a wart on your finger, this virus, hpv, can result in cervical and other types of cancer, and can kill her, if that in fact is what she has.

Don't listen to all the Dbags that answered. Just tell her to go get checked. HPV isn't as serious as it sounds. But just have safe sex with her. If you get it, then no big deal. Nothing bad will happen. BOTH of you should go get checked. Don't make her feel disgusting.

Don't have sex with her, and tell her she needs to go to the doctors.  If you've already had sex with her, you need to go to the doctor and get yourself checked out.

Warts aren't usually swollen and inflammed. Maybe it's herpes?
