The earliest you can test for HIV antibodies is about 6 weeks. But later is more accurate. IF you were exposed to the virus it takes time for yoru body to react with antibodies so the longer the period later, the more accurate. I know those would be the longest several weeks or months in your life but you'll need an accurate answer. If you get tested at 6 weeks and it's negative, you can't be sure it will stay negative weeks or months later. If you test positive at that point, it's well, postive.
In any case, YOU need to get tested and you will get the results back for your tests. If you are relying on him to tell the authorities that you may be exposed, well, you already know what kind of man he is.
