ive had this white looking bubble thing on the under my tounge. at first i thought that it would simply goaway if i gave it a bit of time. but its been at least a month since i first got it. HELP ME!!!! is it a cold sore or something much worse? i picked up a pamphlet on cold sores and it says that they are normally gone within 12 days without treatment. im really worried. in some cases i have heared that it might be cancer! help me im really worried. ive never had sex before. and if i do have this cold sore virus, does this mean that i will never be able to kiss a girl or give oral sex? im really scared. i dont want to go see the docter because i dont want to worry my parents

first of all cold sores do not cause cancer, the thing that does is HPV not HSV (herpe symplex virus).

its possible that this could be a fever blister or cold sore. don't know how many times i have to say this but...

U DON'T HAVE TO HAVE SEX IN ORDER TO GET COLD SORES. simply sharing things that go into your mouth with some one that has them or kissing them on the mouth transmit it. people can get when they are children from when auntie or grandpa or some relative kissed them when they had cold sres.

u will be able to kiss a girl and have oral sex. just don't do those things when u have a cold sore or u could end up passing herpes to her mouth or gentials.

u don't have to tell your parents and your doctor should keep your information private. u could also go to planned parent hood or a free clinic and have them test the bubble thing for herpes.

A cold sore usually does go away in a couple weeks, so this might be something else.  Even if you do have the cold sore virus (Herpes Simples Type I), that doesn't mean you will never be able to kiss!  Most people have this virus and you should only avoid intimate contact during outbreaks (active blisters).

Your "thing" under the tongue may not be serious, but you could check with a doctor to be sure.

A cold sore really starts when you're using a toothpaste that is so minty, it can irritate your gums. Try using a different toothpaste & email me when the sore is gone.
