Some optical places can make them same day, you just need to ring around to find out which ones in your area. If she has had an eye test within the last two years you can phone the optometrist's where it was done and get them to send a copy of the prescription to the optical outlet you are using. If not, or if she thinks her vision may be worse now (young short-sighted people often have significant prescription changes in a short amount of time) then she should also have an eye test.
