Something in the body causes the yeast to go into over drive..

My second was born with thrush because of my infection when i was pregnant..I felt awful,bashed myself about it,but it is no our faults,if you shower regularly there is nothing you can do..

Dont use soap it makes it worse(And stings to high hell also)....

Yes both my kids were early but nothing to do with having Thrush...

You don't specify where on the body, so I am going to say yes, I had severe strep throat with my first pregnancy, when I was 2 months along.  I took amoxicillin and they also gave me cough syrup with codeine, which they said would not affect the baby.  Well, my baby was full term and is now a wonderful 10 year old boy, very bright and perfectly normal.  If you have a bacterial infection it is 100% safe to take antibiotics, but if you don't for fear of medications, you will only spread the bacteria to your baby, and then you will see problems.  P.S. Bindi: Thrush is fungal, not bacterial
