Going back to Ghana what Vaccinations do I need?

Hi everyone...I am a Ghanaian and going back to visit my family and friends but I want to know if I need any vaccinations before I go. I am up to date on my Hepatitis B, Polio, Tetanol, MMR #1 and Chicken Pox.

I visited my doctor today and he is not sure if I need a prove of a yellow fever, typhiod and hepatitis A vaccine before I will be allowed into the country. I do not want to end up at the airport and then be asked for my yellow fever card and not have it. Can any Ghanaian that went back home recently tell me what I need to have please please.....Thanks very much!

I already have medication for Malaria.

Esther,

You've got to have the yellow fever vaccine.  I have to be truthful, as much as I've been in and out of Kotoka airport, no one has EVER asked to see my yellow card, but I agree why take chances.  If it comes to that, there is a clinic at the airport that administers the shots.

You are off to a good start but add Hepatitis B to your schedule.
