My uncle fund out last week he had liver cancer, but I guess its in the beginning stages so when he went to Mass General last week they told him there was an injection they may be able to use that will disinigrate the cancer as long as it hasn't spread?

Its a form of chemo therapy, chemotherapy can't search and destroy cancer cells, it can only destroy cancer cells that it's injected into. The liver has amazing regenerative abilities so any of it's cells that are damaged will most like be replace without too much trouble.
