Why would one bleed from their vagina after pooping?

Sometimes when I wipe after pooping, blood comes out of my vagina.  I am POSITIVE that is where it is coming from.  I went to my gynocologist and he said not to worry about it.  But I am worrying about it.  After I wipe, I don't bleed anymore the rest of the day, unless I happen to poop again.  It is very red blood, with some clear slimy stuff mixed in.  Sorry this is gross, but I don't have anyone else to ask!

It might be that straining from your bowel movement is causing you to spot a little.  Or it could be that you've got some sort of small fissure someplace that only opens when you have a bowel movement.

You should go to a different doctor and find out what's going on.  It really IS NOT normal or ok.  And remember: It's your body, so if YOU think something is wrong, then YOU do not rest until YOU get it fixed.

Don't be sure that you don't have hemorrhoids or anal fissures. It's also possible that you're pushing the menstrual fluid out of your vagina during the process, but that should only be happening if you are on your period.
